Business Office Assistant
Volunteers of America is looking for an experienced Business Office Assistant to join our team. The role of the Business Office Assistant is to provide support to the Business Office Manager in the overall financial components of the residents and staff within the facility. Providing excellent customer service, administrative and budgetary expertise to the Residence Director.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

Pay: $20-$26 /hour depending upon experience

Core Responsibilities:

  • Processes billing, Accounts Receivable and/or resident accounts.
  • Organization and numerical ability is necessary.
  • Perform excellent customer service to residents, family members and visitors.

Job Requirements


  1. High school graduate with emphasis on data processing and office procedures.
  2. Preferred experience in Medical Assistance and Elderly waiver.
  3. Minimum of one-year experience in accounts receivable and billing.
  4. Ability to communicate in a calm and professional manner; ability to communicate and work effectively with various levels of staff, residents and family members.
  5. Flexibility, detailed-orientated and organization skills.
  6. Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation
