Eastern Avenue Apartments -VOA is looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team in Seat Pleasant, MD! This is a full-time non-exempt position that includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, retirement, etc.

~ Ideal Candidate will have Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Property Management, Knowledge of Tax Credit and HUD programs, be COS or Tax Credit Certified.

Objective: The Assistant Manager will assist Property Manager and be responsible for general office support for administrative services staff, order office supplies, and processing of rental applications, certifications, and other duties listed.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• On a daily basis, provides general office support for Administrative Services Staff.
• Represents the company in a positive, professional manner to all callers, guests and staff.
• Orders office supplies.
• Responsible for processing rental applications, certifications, rent calculations and prepare leasing documents in accordance with the regulatory agency’s specifications and Fair Housing Laws.
• Responsible for collections of rent from property residents.
• Maintain resident and property files and waiting lists.
• Create resident work orders.
• Assists with audit preparations each year.
• Attends training as assigned.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Must have Rural Development experience.
  • High School diploma or its equivalent.
  • Professional certification preferred (CMH, ARM, CAM, RAM).
  • Knowledge of regulations, acts, guidelines, etc., pertaining to conventional properties.
  • Knowledge of computer operations, to include basic data entry.
  • May be required to live on site.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relations with residents and employees.
